We do not recommend using any solar cover thicker than 12 mil with this reel. 16 Mil solar covers are much heavier, and most residential reels cannot handle the extra weight. Solar reel ships in two boxes so you might not receive both boxes at the same time

Item Description:
The GLI Whirlwind Above Ground Solar Cover Reel is designed with high quality commercial grade aluminum. This solar reel is sealed with high strength bearings to make reeling in your cover a 'whirl'. This reel features a socket mount for easy crank and cover removal.
The Whirlwind tube kits come pre-drilled for quick and easy assembly. The tubes as well collapse into one another if you wish to make them shorter. The molded bracket mounts right onto the top rail of your above ground pool for easy installation. All necessary hardware is included to assemble this reel. Straps and clips will as well be included.
The high quality aluminum measures 3" inches and will hold up to 12 mil thick solar blanket. We do not recommend using any solar cover thicker than 12 mil with this reel. 16 Mil solar covers are much heavier, and most residential reels cannot handle the extra weight.
